Ukraine’s wire production in January-February 2005
Ukraine's wire products production increased 2% year on year and reached 60'400 tons in the first two months of 2005. The wire products production of the country showed 13.6% month on month decrease in February. The low production rate, which is also 8.2% less than February 2004, came along with cuts in production by the major wire producers in the country. In the first two months, Silur cut its wire production by 6.4% to 9'100 tons. Zaporozhye reduced its wire production by 13.2% to 9'400 tons, Stalkanat cut output by 31.7% to 6'900 tons and Druzhkovka reduced its wire production by 20.1% to 1'600 tons. Only Dneprometiz's production showed a growth, by 3.9% to 22'000 tons. Ukraine exported 40'800 tons of wire products with $24.4 million trade value. The former figure shows 12.4% year on year decrease, while the latter shows %22.9 increase compared to January-February 2004.Ukraine's wire production in January-February 2005
