Ukraine's State Property Fund (SPFU) has decided to sell off the government-owned 1.3 percent in Mittal Steel Kriviy Rih via four separate stakes. The four stakes in the steel company, two of 0.32 percent each and the other two of 0.33 percent each, worth UAH 12.350505 million and UAH12.736458 million respectively, will be placed on the stock exchange either later this year or in early 2007. The SPFU will publish the official announcement for the tender in the period from October to December 2006, while the sale will take place 30 days following the release of the announcement. Ukraine's government retained the 1.3 percent stake in Mittal Steel Kriviy Rih after it sold 93.02 percent of the plant to Mittal Steel in late 2005.
