According to the statistics released by the Istanbul Mineral and Metals Exporters' Association (IMMIB), in June this year Turkey's total wire rod exports amounted to 76,169 metric tons, declining by 28.10 percent month on month and down 43.60 percent over June 2010.
Meanwhile, the revenue generated by these exports totaled $54.59 million, decreasing by 32.81 percent year on year and down 26.03 percent compared to the previous month.
In June, the average export price of Turkish wire rod amounted to $716/mt, up $20.11/mt or 2.88 percent from May levels and indicating an increase of $115/mt or 19.12 percent compared to June 2010.
Meanwhile, in the first half of 2011, Turkey's wire rod exports decreased by 8.11 percent, amounting to 601,349 metric tons, while the revenue of these exports totaled $422.5 million, up 11.18 percent, both compared to the corresponding period of 2010.
