Turkish metal producers’ sales prices up 2.42% in Dec over Nov

According to the statistics released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in December this year the producer price index (PPI) for Turkish industry in general rose by one percent over November and was up 13.33 percent year on year, while an average rise of 11.09 percent was registered for the latest twelve months.

In December, the PPI for the domestic basic metal industry rose by 2.42 percent month on month and was up 24.3 percent compared to December 2010. Meanwhile, the average increase in the latest twelve months was 29.45 percent.

On the other hand, during the given month, the PPI for domestic manufacture of metal products, except machinery, decreased by 0.11 percent from the previous month and was up 13.26 percent year on year. Meanwhile, in the sector in question, an average increase of 8.75 percent in the PPI index was registered in the latest twelve months.
