Turkish metal manufacturing sector’s capacity utilization rises to 75.3 percent

According to the provisional data released by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, in March this year the capacity utilization rate in the Turkish basic metal manufacturing industry came to 75.3 percent, increasing slightly from 75.1 percent in February and up from 73.5 percent in March 2010.
 
Meanwhile, in March, the capacity utilization rate in the manufacture of metal products, except machinery and equipment, declined by 1.6 percentage points month on month, falling to 67.2 percent - up from 61.2 percent in March last year.
