According to the provisional data released by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, in September this year the capacity utilization rate in the Turkish basic metal manufacturing industry was 79 percent, increasing by 4.6 percentage points compared to September 2010 and up 0.8 percentage points compared to August this year.
Meanwhile, in September the capacity utilization rate in the manufacture of metal products, except machinery and equipment, rose by 1.2 percentage points year on year reaching 69.9 percent - down from 72.7 percent recorded in August this year.
Capacity utilization rate in Turkey's general manufacturing industry, on the other hand, came to 76.2 percent, increasing slightly from 76.1 percent in August this year and up from 73.5 percent in September 2010.
