According to the provisional data released by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, in October this year the capacity utilization rate in the Turkish basic metal manufacturing industry was 80.3 percent, increasing by 5.5 percentage points compared to October 2010 and up 1.3 percentage points compared to September this year.
Meanwhile, in October the capacity utilization rate in the manufacture of metal products, except machinery and equipment, rose by 1.9 percentage points year on year reaching 71.7 percent - up from 69.9 percent recorded in September this year.
Capacity utilization rate in Turkey's general manufacturing industry, on the other hand, came to 77 percent, increasing from 76.2 percent in September this year and up from 73.3 percent in October 2010.
