Turkey’s wire rod exports down 12.02 percent in March

In March, the average export price of Turkish wire rod amounted to $540/mt, up $15,77/mt or three percent from February levels and indicating an increase of $102/mt or 23.31 percent compared to March 2009.

Meanwhile, in the first quarter of 2010, Turkey's wire rod exports surged 5.66 percent, amounting to 266,710 metric tons, while the revenue of these exports totaled $139.1 million, up 18.68 percent, both compared to the corresponding period of 2009.
