Turkey’s steel exports fall in June after rising for four straight months

According to the provisional foreign trade statistics compiled by the Turkish Exporters' Association (TIM), in June this year Turkey's steel exports totaled $1.07 billion in value, increasing by 19.86 percent year on year and down 9.72 percent over the previous month. Thus, in June Turkey registered the first month-on-month decrease in its steel exports after four consecutive months in which its steel exports posted a rising trend.

Meanwhile, Turkey's steel exports in the first half of this year totaled $5.85 billion, rising by 4.88 percent as compared to the corresponding period of 2009.
