Turkey's monthly industrial production index in June this year increased by 6.7 percent, compared to the same period of the previous year, according to the data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUİK) on August 8. The seasonal and calendar adjusted industrial production index declined by 0.9 percent compared to the previous month.
In June, the index for the manufacture of basic metals increased by 7.9 percent year on year and was down 0.3 percent from May, while the index for the manufacture of fabricated metal products rose by 17.6 percent year on year and was up by 4.1 percent compared to the previous month.
