There have been reports in the media from the beginning of the week that a Turkish steelmaker is interested in acquiring Bulgarian steel mill Kremikovtzi, which is known to have been experiencing financial difficulties for some time now. According to the latest information issued by Bulgarian sources, it has been learned that the suitor for Kremikovtzi is none other than Turkish steel giant Erdemir. It is also heard that Erdemir is expected to conduct a committee investigation and reviews soon regarding the mill in question.

However, upon inquiry no information concerning the issue was received from Erdemir today.
