TPCO America orders new PQF mill

German plantmaker SMS Meer has announced that US-based TPCO America Corporation has placed an order for the supply of a new tube plant with premium quality finishing (PQF) rolling technology.
 
The PQF plant designed to have a maximum capacity of 534,000 mt per year will produce oil country tubular goods (OCTG) for the crude oil and natural gas industry in the region. The plant will produce tubes that are up to 273.1 mm in diameter.
 
The first tube is scheduled to be rolled at TPCO America on October 1, 2014.
