German certification body TÜV NORD has conducted a first official environmental audit at ThyssenKrupp Stahl-Service-Center's Krefeld site and its Radebeul branch near Dresden. Together with its Mannheim branch, ThyssenKrupp Stahl-Service-Center has been awarded EN ISO 14001 certification for its environmental management system.

The implementation of an appropriate environmental management system at ThyssenKrupp Stahl-Service-Center was a prerequisite for certification. As a result of the certification, all production processes are being checked out to ensure they are eco-friendly and to identify potential for improvement. Moreover, service providers and suppliers of ThyssenKrupp Stahl-Service-Center are also required to comply with the same environmental standards.
