On May 28, Shandong Province-based Taishan Steel Hot Rolled Steel Strip Plant succeeded in developing thin specification steel strips of 1.5 × 760 mm and 1.4 × 760 mm, which meet all domestic standard requirements.
At present, Taigang produces steel strips with a maximum thickness of 17.6 mm and a maximum width of 865 mm.
No other mill in China produces steel strip of < 2.0 mm thickness.
