SSI expects 15% rise for 2004 revenue

As per the latest information obtained, Sahaviriya Steel Industries (SSI) expects its revenue to reach Baht 34.59 billion ($881 million), with an increase by 15%, depending on the rising demand worlwide, especially from China. The revenue of previous year was recorded as Baht 29.85 billion ($760 million). With this improved revenue figure on hand, the company also plans to increase its sales volume to 2.26 million tons from 1.95 million tons recorded in the previous year. Moreover, the company is planning to operate at full capacity in three-year time interval. Apart from the increase in production, investment of Baht 3.6 billion ($91 million) is planned to be made to increase production of hot rolled coils.
