South Africa’s Exxaro invests in mining explorations in Turkey

South African-based mining group Exxaro has announced the allocation of ZAR 56 million (approx. $7 million) for investment in mining exploration assets in Turkey, including zinc, lead, copper and iron ore prospects.

Interested in expanding its base metal resources, Exxaro expects the results of the first phase of exploration in Turkey in a year's time, after which it will make its decision on future operations in the country.
