The Serbian government has announced that it will cooperate with the European Commission (EC) in the EU’s antidumping (AD) duty investigation on certain hot rolled (HR) flat products of iron, non-alloy or other alloy steel from Serbia. The government stated that the European Commission will soon receive full documentation with accurate information based on which it will prepare a response, in the belief that producers from Serbia did not violate the antidumping rules.

On July 7, the European Commission started an antidumping (AD) duty investigation for certain hot rolled (HR) flat products of iron, non-alloy or other alloy steel imported from Brazil, Iran, Russia, Serbia and Ukraine upon a complaint received from the European Steel Association (EUROFER) alleging that the mentioned imports are being dumped and are thereby causing material injury to the EU industry.
