Scot Industries announces investment in Indiana facility

Lone Star, Texas-based specialty steel tube and bar manufacturer Scot Industries, Inc. plans to open a new production facility in Auburn, Indiana. Construction on the facility is expected to begin in late summer 2011, with operations scheduled to begin in Q3 2012.

Scot Industries will invest several million dollars to build the production facility, and has been offered aid by state authorities based on the company's job creation plans. The Indiana Economic Development Corporation has offered Scot Industries as much as $625,000 in performance-based tax credits and the city of Auburn is considering additional property tax phase-in credits as well.
