S. Korea's steel consumption to increase

South Korea Iron and Steel Association disclosed that the country's steel consumption is expected to increase nearly 4 percent in the second half due to the rise in domestic demand and recovery in international prices. South Korea's nominal steel consumption is expected to grow 3.9 percent year on year to 23.97 million tons in July-December 2006 period.
