S. Korea sees decline in steel plate inventories

South Korean steel producers' steel plate inventories fell 52,000 tons month on month in November due to cutthroat competition. South Korea's Iron & Steel Association (KISA) disclosed that the steel plate inventories of South Korean companies amounted to 1.06 million tons in November. However, imports of steel plates rose 55,000 tons month on month to 760,000 tons in November. KISA indicated that the fierce competition among companies to sell off steel sheets will continue for a while, reducing inventory levels.
