RMB breaks 6.83 mark against US dollar

On September 9, the average RMB/USD exchange rate reached 6.8292 for the first time after fluctuating above the 6.83 mark for three months.

Analysts have commented that the dramatic drop in the value of the US dollar has contributed to the recent fluctuating movement of the RMB-US dollar exchange rate, and that the global economy will be impacted by the weak dollar to a certain extent.

Although the RMB/USD exchange rate has broken the 6.83 mark, a sharp appreciation of the RMB is unlikely because China has consistently maintained a stable exchange rate policy.
