Qingdao leads world ports in first half iron ore imports
The latest statistics from China's Ministry of Communications show that iron ore imports at the country's Qingdao Port reached 24.01 million tons in the first half of 2005. The amount of iron ore flowing into Qingdao Port earned it the distinction of being the top port in the world in terms of iron ore tonnage during the first half of the year. The iron ore imports at Qingdao port accounted for 18 percent of China's total iron ore imports of 132.71 million tons.Qingdao leads world ports in first half iron ore imports
