Peru’s local rebar sales decline in October

Peru’s sales of rebar in October dropped 10.5 percent, year-on-year, according to data released by the country’s statistics agency, INEI.

INEI said Peruvian rebar sales fell to 101,758 mt in October, from 113,690 mt in the same month of the year prior. Government data indicated local rebar sales in October decreased 26 percent, month-on-month, from 137,617 mt in September.

As for the accumulated period of January to October, Peruvian rebar sales reached 1.10 million mt, an increase of 1.8 percent year-on-year.
