Pellet import increases at Alashankou Port

Through the first five months of this year, the quantity of iron ore pellet import quantity at China's Alashankou Port totaled 514'700 tons, up 62.1% year on year. Furthermore, the CIF price of pellet imports has risen from around $35/ton a year ago to the present level of $115/ton. This 228.5% year-on-year explosion has propelled Alashankou Port into record territory in terms of pellet imports.
