Nippon Steel Texeng and Nippon Steel Nisshin Koki agree on business integration

Japan-based Nippon Steel Texeng Co., Ltd. (Nippon Steel Texeng), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Nippon Steel Corporation (Nippon Steel), and Nippon Steel Nisshin Koki Co., Ltd. (Nippon Steel Nisshin Koki), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Nippon Steel Nisshin Co., Ltd. (Nippon Steel Nisshin), have agreed on their business integration to be implemented in July 2020. Both companies are engaged in design, construction and maintenance of steel making facilities.

Nippon Steel Texeng and Nippon Steel Nisshin Koki have collaborated since 2017 when Nippon Steel Nisshin became a subsidiary of Nippon Steel. Through the business integration, the two companies will consolidate their respective operating resources they have developed so far and pursue maximizing synergies. These will contribute to rebuilding Nippon Steel Group’s strength in manufacturing and enhancing its competitiveness.
