Ningbo Port sees steel exports increase in first half

38'000 tons of steel headed overseas via China's Ningbo Port during the first half of 2005, statistics from Ningbo Customs indicate. The 38'000 tons of steel marked a 28.1 percent year on year increase in export tonnage for the first half. At the same time, the trade value of steel exports rose 58.1 percent year on year to $60.82 million. The main destinations of Ningbo's steel exports included the EU, US and South Korea.
