Iranian state-owned flat steel producer Mobarakeh Steel recorded outputs of 3,335,000 mt of semi-finished steel (slab) and 3,442,000 mt of hot rolled coil (HRC) in the first nine months of the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2010), up one percent and 14 percent year on year respectively - according to the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).
Meanwhile, Saba Compact Strip Processing Plant, an affiliate of Mobarakeh, produced 448,000 mt of thin slab and 485,000 mt of HRC in the given period, representing increases of 17 percent and 10 percent year on year respectively, also according to IMIDRO.
