Mittal Steel to build new steel plant in India

The world's largest steelmaker Mittal Steel will invest more than Rupees 300 billion (around $6.5 billion) for a new plant in southeastern India. The 12 million metric tons plant in ore-rich eastern Orissa state will be completed in two phases. The project in India is part of Mittal Steel's strategy eyeing growth in India and China.
