Mittal announces wire rod increase
Late Friday afternoon, Mittal Steel in Chicago announced a price increase of $50 /nt ($55 /mt or $2.50 cwt.) for their wire rod from Georgetown Steel in South Carolina and from Mittal Canada (the former Sidbec mill). The price increase will be effective with shipments as of June 1, 2006.
