Major steel producers gather at CISA meeting

On June 2, 2005, officials from major Chinese steel producers attended a China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) meeting on the household steel sheet market. During the talks, the producers agreed that ensuring a steady and reasonable operation for steel sheet market was imperative if the industry hoped to rid itself of the panic creeping through the market. This agreement would seem to suggest that the major steel producers of China will opt for production cuts over price decreases.
