Longteng Special Steel’s 850 rolling mill starts production

China's Changshu Province-based steelmaker Longteng Special Steel Co., Ltd recently launched production at its 850 rolling mill, which will mainly produce shipbuilding sections such as flat-bulb steel for ships and L-sections. The annual output of the mill is planned to reach 500,000 mt.
 
Longteng Special Steel mainly rolls flat-bulb steel for ship use and shipbuilding flat bars of various strengths. The producer has 580X4, 450X2 and 300X5 production lines for each of the above product categories, with a total annual production capacity of 250,000 mt for each category. With the addition of the 580 and 850 production lines and following extensive technological renovation, the company's production capacity has been increased by 500,000 mt.

Thus, the company is now able to produce one million mt of shipbuilding sections per year. Meanwhile, it has also received approval from shipping bureaus including CCS, ABS, GL, LR, BV, RINA, NK and KR.
