Kunming to buy SAG mill from Metso

China's Kunming Iron and Steel Group will buy a primary iron ore grinding mill from the global mine equipment maker Metso Minerals for its Dahongshan mine under construction in Yunnan province. The delivery and installation at site of the mill will be completed in the second quarter of 2006. According to the agreement between the two companies, Kunming will purchase a 5.400 kW semi-autogenous grinding (SAG) mill, spare parts and supervisory services for erection and commissioning. The mine is expected to produce 4 million tons of iron ore per annum to become one of the largest underground mines in China when it begins operating.
