Kardemir wins rail tender

Turkish integrated long steel producer Kardemir has announced that it has participated in and won the international tender opened by Turkish State Railways (TCDD) on February 15, 2012 for the supply of 22,500 mt of 60E1 and 19,000 mt of 49E1 900 A quality rails, making the cheapest bid.

Turkish State Railways stated that the bid price was €26.68 million, while technical and commercial due diligence is still in progress.
