Jiuquan Steel tenders its stainless CR project

SteelOrbis Shanghai China's northern Gansu province based Jiuquan Iron and Steel Company held a public tender for its stainless CR project on February 15. Germany-based LOI Engineering Company, Austria-based EBNER Industrial Company and Japan-based Stove Company responded to the tender. This tender is prepared for Jiuquan Steel's auxiliary production line for 400 series stainless products. The tender includes ten furnace platforms, six heating covers and four cooling domes. The production capacity of this line will be 150,000 metric tons. Jiuquan Steel's entire project includes a 2 million metric ton annual capacity sheet production line and a 530,000 metric ton stainless production line. After the completion, Jiuquan's pig iron, crude steel and rolled steel output will be 4.4 million metric tons, 4.9 million metric tons and 4.4 million metric tons respectively, while that of sheet and coil will increase more than 75 percent.
