Jiuquan is upgrading its stainless steel slabs

According to latest news in the market, Jiuquan Iron&Steel Corporation is planning to develop its stainless steel slabs by installing a new line at its mill in Gansu province of China. The line will enable the mill to produce 250'000 tons per year. The new equipment consists of two grinding machines for the wide face of slabs, two edge-grinding machine for the narrow face of the slabs, handling machine and a secondary dust-collecting filter. For the new project, Danieli Centro Maskin, which is a part of Italy's Danieli Group is missioned. The new plant is expected to start operating in fourth quarter of 2004.
