Steel producer Jinan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd, based in the eastern Chinese province of Jinan, recently received approval from the shipping bureaus of nine countries for the new TMCP FH40-Z35 shipbuilding plate produced at its hot rolled plate mill. Jinan Steel is the second company in China to develop production of FH40-Z35 shipbuilding plate of 60 mm thickness.
Jinan Steel's hot rolled plate mill had already developed production of shipbuilding steels of all grades, specifications and levels, while the lengths and widths of these steels had also reached advanced international level. The company says that its production of TMCP FH40-Z35 shipbuilding plate marks a new milestone in its development.
