Japanese industrial production resumes rising trend in March

In March, Japan's seasonally adjusted industrial production rose by 0.3 percent as compared to the previous month, following a month-on-month drop of 0.6 percent in February after successive increases over 12 months. Meanwhile, on a year-on-year basis, the country's industrial production in March witnessed an increase of 30.7 percent.
 
In March, seasonally adjusted iron and steel production in Japan rose by 3.1 percent, while producers' iron and steel shipments increased by 9.3 percent and iron and steel inventories were up 1.7 percent, all compared to the previous month.
