ITC to conduct sunset reviews for silicon metal from two countries
The US International Trade Commission (ITC) voted yesterday to conduct full five-year reviews (“sunset”) concerning the antidumping duty orders on imports of silicon metal from Brazil and China. As a result of yesterday's votes, the ITC will conduct full reviews to determine whether the revocation of the orders would likely lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury to US domestic industries. Interested parties are requested to submit their comments on the ITC's decision. Generally, 95 days after the initiation of the review the ITC determines whether the responses indicate adequate interest in a full review. If the responses are adequate, the ITC will conduct a full review, which includes public hearings and questionnaires.
