ITC to conduct expedited sunset reviews for silicomanganese imports

Tuesday, 11 April 2006 11:58:04 (GMT+3)   |
The US International Trade Commission (ITC) voted yesterday to expedite its five-year reviews (“sunset”) concerning the antidumping duty orders on silicomanganese from Brazil, China, and Ukraine. As a result of yesterday's voting, the ITC will conduct expedited sunset reviews to determine whether the revocation of the orders would likely lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury to US domestic industries. Interested parties are requested to submit their comments on the ITC's decision. Generally, 95 days after the initiation of the review the ITC determines whether the responses indicate adequate interest in a full review. If the responses are adequate, the ITC will conduct a full review, which includes public hearings and questionnaires.
