According to Istat, Italy's national statistics office, in September this year industrial production sales prices in Italy increased by 0.2 percent compared to August and by 4.5 percent year on year.
In September, the prices of industrial products sold in the local market grew by 0.2 percent month on month and by 4.7 percent year on year, while the price index of products sold in foreign markets grew by 0.4 percent compared to August (flat trend in the euro area and +0.4 percent outside the euro area) and by 3.9 percent year on year (+3.5 percent in the euro area and + four percent outside the euro area).
The coke and oil sector showed the steepest increase in industrial production prices, as local and foreign sale prices rose respectively by 17.9 percent and 30.5 percent year on year.
