IronUnits finalizes Ohio EPA permits for HBI site construction

IronUnits LLC, a division of Cleveland-Cliffs Inc., has obtained the final air emissions permits from the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The permit allows the company to begin building its planned site in the Ironsville Terminal site in Toledo, Ohio, to produce 2.48 million tons of hot briquetted iron (HBI) annually. The inital announcement of the $700 million plant was reported by SteelOrbis on June 15, 2017.
