Iran may cut HRC import duty

Friday, 17 August 2007 15:56:58 (GMT+3)   |

The Iranian cabinet of ministers has proposed a reduction in the import duty on HRC from 10 to four percent, in response to pressure from the country's pipe and profile producers. The new duty will come into effect upon government approval.

The cabinet proposal can be considered as an attempt to satisfy the growing demand for hot rolled products, especially coming from the country's pipe industry.
