Iran inks deal with China for new mill construction

Iranian sources have reported that Iran and China have inked a €131 million deal for the construction of a major steel mill in the central Iranian province of Yazd.

The proposed mill will be EAF-based and will have an annual production capacity of one million metric tons.

According to Iran's deputy minister of industries and mines Ahmad Ali Haratinik, the Chinese state-owned China Metallurgical Construction Group is expected to commence the project in the current month of June.
