In its latest announcement concerning its investment program, Turkish integrated flats producer Erdemir has stated that its management board has given the go-ahead for the initiation as of 2009 of an investment for the construction of a new coke battery No. 4 with an annual capacity of 700,000 mt, and, upon completion of the said project, for the start of modernization work on the existing No. 1 and No. 2 coke batteries.
