Hunan Valin to add 1.5 million tons capacity by 2010
China's Hunan Valin Steel Group announced that the company plans to reach an integrated production capacity of 6 million tons by 2010 at its Lianyuan Steel plant. High grade plate production will account for more than 90% of this figure. Hunan Valin Steel, which mainly produces hot rolled sheets, has a current composite production capacity of 4.5 million tons. The company also produces medium and light section and other specialty steel products. The company is also planning to add a 3 million tons per annum capacity hot rolled production line at its Lianyuan facilities. Hunan Valin Steel Group ranked 31st largest steel company in the world with its 7.1 million mt crude steel production in 2004.Hunan Valin to add 1.5 million tons capacity by 2010
