Hebei-based Xuanhua Steel dismantles BF No. 6

Hebei Province-based Chinese steel producer Xuanhua Iron and Steel Inc. (Xuanhua Steel), a subsidiary of Hebei Iron and Steel Group, has lately announced that it has completed the dismantling of its last 300 cubic meter blast furnace, i.e., its blast furnace No. 6. Thus, to date Xuanhua Steel has totally dismantled four blast furnaces each with a capacity of 300 cubic meters.

The blast furnace in question had aggregately produced 7,637,524 mt of pig iron since it was put into production in 1958. In addition to the four BFs, Xuanhua Steel has also demolished two 64 cubic meter sintering machines and two 36 cubic meter sintering machines, representing a total annual sintering capacity of 2.57 million mt.
