German exports of machinery goods up 18.2 percent in H1

According to German Engineering Federation (VDMA), in the first half of the current year total exports of machinery goods from Germany reached a value of €68.9 billion, up 18.2 percent compared to the same period of 2010.

Of the total exports of machinery goods from Germany in the first half of the current year, 41.5 percent were directed to the Chinese market, the largest destination for machinery goods from Germany, followed by the US, France, Russia and Italy. Meanwhile, Germany's exports of machinery goods to OPEC countries accounted for 4.1 percent of the total.
