Fortescue announces 2 billion mt resource increase in Iron Bridge project

Australia-based iron ore miner Fortescue Metals Group has announced an increase of 2 billion mt in its Iron Bridge deposits, taking the total resource for the project to 5.2 billion mt of iron ore at an Fe grade of 30.4 percent.
 
The Iron Bridge project in the Pilbara region of Western Australia comprises the North Star and Glacier Valley deposits, and the West Star and South Star exploration projects. 
 
Fortescue is also in discussions with parties regarding the sale of a strategic interest in Iron Bridge as well as equity development funding.
