On Sunday, a fire erupted at US Steel's Irvin Plant in its Mon Valley Works operation in West Mifflin, Pennsylvania. The fire started in the plant's 84-inch pickle line, which will remain idle until the cause of the blaze is investigated and necessary repairs are determined. The rest of the flat-rolled steel mill is operating normally.
