Exports take upper hand in Anhui’s steel trade

A 23 percent year on year decrease in first-half steel imports for China's Anhui province allowed exports to overtake imports in terms of trade value. The foreign steel trade of China's Anhui province reached $266 million through the first half of 2005, accounting for 6 percent of China's total foreign trade. In detail, the province's steel import decreased 23 percent year on year to $129 million, while steel export increased 53 percent to $137 million.
